Visitors in the Hospital
We had a lot of people come visit us in the hospital. I wish I had pictures of everyone. Oma (my mom) and Aunt Suzee came the evening of the 8th right after Joe called them. Suzee brought a beautiful Peter Rabbit quilt that she had been working on. Missy helped her with it. I love the blanket. Suzee did an awesome job on it. Ann (Joe's mom) and his sister Meagan drove from Dearborn to visit John the next morning and stayed most of the day. Suzee came back to the hospital with Tal and Jason. Tal slept most of the time. Our Bradley instructor came to visit and offer support. Karon and Josh came to see John and Jennifer Vlietstra stopped by too. Lots of people called and others came after we were home. We loved having everyone come, but we were also so glad to just get home from the hospital. As great as the hospital staff was, we were tired of people in and out of the room every 5 minutes. Taking vitals, messing with this and that. It was so great to just get home and be able to get on our own schedule (or should i say Johnny's schedule) It was surreal to walk out of the hospital with John in his carseat and put him in the car and take him home with us. We waited over 9 months to meet him and then there he was.
